Our Philosophy

When we first started out we created the CYCLE as a research tool. We needed to design a test that examines deeply and thoroughly, many aspects of syntax, morphology and semantics. We began with a small set of subtests and kept adding and fine-tuning. Along the way, other researchers and clinicians heard about the test by word of mouth, and requested copies. We were glad to provide it when we could, laboriously cranking out pages on wheezing copying machines. Over the years the CYCLE has been used by many people. For example, it has been a key assessment instrument in a large scale cognitive research project, and in various studies. Parts of the CYCLE have been translated into Hebrew, Spanish, and sign language.

We are now making it easier to buy the CYCLE. We will create the test in small batches, updating and improving it along the way. We want to maintain a hands-on, personable approach. Because of this, we ask you to be patient as we try to provide a quality, hand-assembled product.
